This cylinder block is covered with a SOHC 16-valve head with hydraulic tappets in almost all modifications, so there’s no need for valve adjustment. It also has a timing belt with a service life of 60000 miles (90,000 km).
If it breaks off, the valves will be destroyed. Replace it on time.
This engine is as simple as any other Mitsubishi Orion — it doesn’t have a MIVEC system and other modern accessories.
